Greenock

The Greenock Town Centre Regeneration Forum (GTCRF) is the body for progressing the recommendations from the Charette which highlighted key areas within Greenock town centre that are appropriate for regeneration. A main focus of the Forum's activity is to oversee the development and regeneration strategy for guiding future investment into Greenock town centre. Thereafter it will focus its attention on sourcing external funding to enable priority projects to be implemented.

The Greenock Town Centre Regeneration Forum consists of the following members:-

  • Elected ward 3 members and one member as the Chair;
  • Greenock Central Residents Action Group Representatives;
  • Federation of Small Businesses;
  • Chamber of Commerce;
  • Discover Inverclyde;
  • Traders Representatives (Oak Mall, West Blackhall Street, West Station);
  • River Clyde Homes Neighbourhood Development;
  • Inverclyde Council Economic Development Team; and
  • Riverside Inverclyde

Gourock

The Gourock Town Centre Regeneration Forum (GTCRF) highlights key areas within Gourock town centre that are appropriate for regeneration. A main focus of the Forum's activity is to initially oversee the development of further regeneration proposals which complement the recent significant investment in Gourock town centre. Thereafter it will focus its attention on sourcing external funding to enable priority projects to be implemented.

The Gourock Town Centre Regeneration Forum consists of the following members:-

  • Elected ward 5 members and one member as the Chair;
  • Gourock Community Council Representatives;
  • Cardwell Bay and Greenock West End Community Council Representatives;
  • Federation of Small Businesses;
  • Inverclyde Chamber of Commerce;
  • Discover Inverclyde;
  • Traders' Representatives (Kempock Street and Shore Street);
  • Riverside Inverclyde Chief Executive/Inverclyde Council Corporate Director of Environment, Regeneration and Resources;
  • Inverclyde Council Economic Development Manager; And
  • Riverside Inverclyde

Port Glasgow

The creation of the Port Glasgow Town Centre Regeneration Forum (PGTCRF) was a recommended outcome of the Port Glasgow Charrette and Masterplan that was commissioned by ri in January 2014. The masterplan highlights key areas within Port Glasgow town centre that are appropriate for regeneration. A main focus of the Forum's activity is to source external funding to enable priority projects to be implemented.

The Charrette and Masterplan established that the following themes were of greatest importance for the residents and businesses in Port Glasgow:-

  • Making connections;
  • Coronation Park;
  • Access to the waterfront;
  • First impressions;
  • Gateways;
  • Living in the town centre;
  • Evening economy;
  • Transport to Glasgow;
  • Rich heritage;
  • Community spirit; And
  • Links to upper Port Glasgow

The Port Glasgow Town Centre Regeneration Forum consists of the following members:

  • Elected ward 1 & 2 members and one member as the Chair;
  • Port Glasgow Community Association Representatives;
  • Port Glasgow Traders Representative;
  • Federation of Small Businesses;
  • Inverclyde Chamber of Commerce;
  • River Clyde Homes Neighbourhood Development;
  • Inverclyde Council Economic Development Manager; And
  • Riverside Inverclyde
