New Letting is just the Tonic for Greenock
In less than two years after the completion of Clyde View, Greenock’s first speculative office building in some 15 years, the final letting has been secured to the American-based global health services company, CIGNA HealthCare Benefits.
The company, which already occupies a site in Greenock, will be taking up 16,144 sq ft of Grade A office space on a five year lease.
Cushman & Wakefield, along with joint letting agents James McGee, acted on behalf of landlord Riverside Inverclyde, the urban regeneration company set up to develop over 4.5 miles of waterfront stretching from Port Glasgow to Greenock.
Located within Riverside Business Park off Pottery Street, Clyde View, which spans 26,113 sq ft has over two storeys and complete with 90 car parking spaces, has been highly successful in attracting both international and local tenants despite tough market conditions. CIGNA HealthCare Benefits joins existing international tenant, Goltens, and local businesses; Childcare Training Solutions, Jenda Energy, 2020 Renewables and Toltech Internet Solutions.
Bill Nicol, Chief Executive, Riverside Inverclyde (Property Holdings) Limited said, “CIGNA is world-renowned and it is this partnership of being able to combine international and local investment which is helping to shape Greenock as a reputable business destination.
“Clyde View is a terrific success story and our ability to be flexible in responding to tenants, as well as our leap of faith in investing in the first Grade A space, has helped fast-track the lettings.”
“Now that we have successfully let the full building, Riverside Inverclyde are actively seeking a development partner and have funds available to commence a further phase of office development on the adjacent development site. CIGNA, which is ranked 129 in the Fortune 500, maintains sales capability in 30 countries and jurisdictions around the globe and employs over 30,000 people worldwide. The addition of the new space in Greenock will see the company expand their workforce by up to 50 new staff over the next two years.
