Directions
Inverclyde is situated on the west coast of Scotland on the banks of the River Clyde, with spectacular views across to Argyll and the Scottish Highlands. It offers immediate access to motorway, air, sea and rail links to the rest of the UK, Europe and beyond. Glasgow is 30 minutes by train, and 40 minutes by road. Glasgow International Airport, Scotland's busiest airport is within 20 minutes drive from the centre of Inverclyde and Prestwick International Airport is an hour and a half away.
From Glasgow/East
Head west along the M8 onto the A8 towards Greenock. Follow the A8 through Port Glasgow and ½ km beyond Bogston Station turn left at the lights into Pottery Street. Riverside Inverclyde is located in the new building at the end of Pottery Street.
From South/West
Following the A78 head through Greenock towards Port Glasgow. At the second set of traffic lights beyond MacDonalds (approximately 1 km) turn right into Pottery Street. Riverside Inverclyde is located in the new building at the end of Pottery Street.
By Road:
The M8 motorway provides access to central Glasgow, Edinburgh and all other Scottish cities.
By Rail:
A frequent rail service to Paisley (20 minutes) and Glasgow (30 minutes), gives passengers the opportunity to interlink with mainline destinations throughout the UK with a local 13 station network.
By Air:
Glasgow International Airport operates an extensive range of scheduled flights to Continental Europe, North America and the rest of the UK. Glasgow Prestwick International Airport in Ayrshire also operates regular services to the UK, Ireland and several European cities. Both airports operate freights and cargo services to worldwide destinations.
By Sea:
Greenock's Ocean Terminal is one of the UK's principal container ports. It is also a regular port of call for international cruise liners. Inverclyde offers regular ferry services from Gourock to Dunoon, Helensburgh and Kilcreggan and from Wemyss Bay to Rothesay, Isle of Bute.
