Nominations are accepted in three categories - Best Leadership, Best Employer and Best Business. Any company of any size may apply, as long as it operates within Inverclyde.  In addition to publicity, the winner of each category will receive a cheque for £1,000 and a unique hand-crafted trophy. 

The Best Leadership category, sponsored by Riverside Inverclyde, recognises a person who has made a significant, individual contribution to their company.  It may not necessarily be a Chief Executive or Managing Director but instead a team leader or individual who has shone within an organisation.

Best Employer looks for employers who are either investing in the skills of existing staff through training and development programmes, or those that recognise talent on their doorstep and are keen to recruit locally. Alternatively, it may be a robust Corporate Social Responsibility strategy that is impacting positively upon the local community.

Best Business looks for companies demonstrating best practice right across the board.  Achievement may be in the form of a successful start up, exciting development, innovation or diversification, or perhaps it is a company that has shown growth, whether that is in turnover, employees or market share.
