Waterfront Expo 2006 takes Riverside Inverclyde into international arena
In October, Riverside Inverclyde will take part in world class conference and exhibition event Waterfront Expo 2006 at the Scottish Exhibition and Conference Centre in Glasgow.
The prestigious event showcases international waterfronts and their designers, planners and developers; delegates attracted include real estate professionals, waterfront property developers, marina operators, designers and developers and tourism, hotel and leisure-related organisations.
During 17 – 19 October, Riverside Inverclyde will present its £400m regeneration plans for Inverclyde. With over 1,600 people from 750 organisations from 32 countries expected to attend, the event will lift Riverside Inverclyde well and truly into the international arena.
For the first time this year, Waterfront Expo features field trips. On 17 October, Riverside Inverclyde will welcome over 150 delegates from around the world to Inverclyde to see regeneration activity already underway locally, wherever possible encouraging developers and investors to get involved in development opportunities available locally.
Participation in Waterfront Expo 2006 is in the view of the Board of Riverside Inverclyde important and timely. Alf Young, Chair of Riverside Inverclyde said, “Now is the time to focus on Inverclyde's many strengths and how they can be re-energised to build a better Inverclyde, a community everyone is proud to call home.”
