Elaine Stewart
Elaine has worked in PR since 1981 operating across a wide range of sectors in local, national and international arenas. She graduated in communications studies in 1981, first working as a YTS with Graham Williams PR in Glasgow, where her PR and freelance journalism skills were honed.
Securing a position as an account assistant in 1982 with one of the country's largest PR consultancies, Rex Stewart, Elaine advanced to director. In 1991, she was invited to join communications agency DMS (Scotland) Ltd, to set up its PR division in the role of managing director. Elaine continued to work with its dynamic team when she set up Elaine Stewart Public Relations (ESPR) in Inverclyde in 1993 - now based at the Seagull Studios in Kempock Street, Gourock.
Elaine was officially appointed the first female President of Greenock Chamber of Commerce in June 2009. She holds this voluntary role until June 2011.
