Ian J. Crawford
Ian Crawford has enjoyed a successful career with IBM since 1978, holding a number of prominent roles, including that of Greenock Site Financial Controller, Senior Advisor for plants in Italy and France, and Director of Logistics Re-engineering in North Carolina.
Whilst European Fulfilment Manager, Ian was responsible for the re-engineering of the European fulfilment process, a breakthrough process that is now the model for IBM's approach worldwide. As Director of the Greenock Site, he was responsible for dramatic improvements whereby the reputation of the plant across the industry improved significantly.
In 2004, Ian became Vice President of Strategic Sourcing, based in the United States, returning to the UK in 2005, with additional responsibility as IBM Greenock Site Executive.
IBM has been through transition and has continually re-invented itself. Ian is committed to applying this experience to assisting Inverclyde through transition.
