Spreading the benefits

There are many ways in which Inverclyde will flourish as a result of the regeneration process. Over the next ten years alone, we are confident the project has the potential to create:

• Over 4,500 new residents;
• Over 2,500 jobs;
• Over 100 full time construction jobs;
• Annual Gross Value Added of £90 million;
• Stability of one of the fastest declining populations in Scotland;
• An increase in the number of people who are employed and contribute to the economic growth of Inverclyde;
• An increase in the number of service based companies within Inverclyde;
• An increase in the average earnings, meaning residents have a higher disposable income to spend locally;
• An increase in the level of tourism spend and overall perception of the area; and
• A decrease in the level of vacant and derelict land in Inverclyde.
