The Harbours / Cathcart Street

This is the main priority project being developed in 2007-2008 and extends to some 7.5 hectares with four and a half miles of scenic riverfront. There are two main parts to the project:

Victoria and East India Harbours - This prestigious development will comprise a mixed use of residential development, marina, retail and business space and a multi-use cultural centre. This will be a £45 million partnership between Riverside Inverclyde, Inverclyde Council and Clyde Port. Work is expected to commence on site in Autumn 2007. Opportunities are still available for residential and commercial operators.

Cathcart Street - Riverside Inverclyde is also improving the physical connection between Greenock town centre and the Victoria and East India Harbours waterfront development. Master planning is currently underway with the partner organisations. Development partners for comprehensive redevelopment schemes will be sought with the private sector in due course.
