Cllr.Stephen McCabe
Stephen McCabe is the Leader of Inverclyde Council, and one of four Councillors for Inverclyde's East Ward. He has been a Councillor for 12 years, holding a number of senior positions, including Convener of the Council's Audit Committee for four years.
Stephen graduated from the University of Strathclyde in 1986 with an Honours Degree in Economics. He is currently Assistant Director of Govan Housing Association, with responsibility for managing the Finance and Administration Department.
Stephen has worked in the housing association sector for 16 years, having previously been employed within a local authority finance department for five years. He is also a Director of the Kilmacolm New Community Centre Company.
Born and brought up in Port Glasgow, Stephen has lived in Inverclyde all his life. He is married with four young children.
