Riverside Inverclyde (ri), the organisation charged with the economic regeneration of Inverclyde, is delighted to announce a further £650k investment into Kelburn Business Park at the eastern entrance to Port Glasgow.

Built in 2015, the eye-catching park offers office and light industrial accommodation from 2,120 square feet to 15,564 square feet across four blocks.  Block B of the park was previously fitted out in 2016 to include office, toilet and kitchen space and subsequently has enjoyed a 100% occupancy rate since the works were concluded.

In October 2017, Riverside Inverclyde appointed Helensburgh based Stewart and Shields building contractors to complete further fit out works on Block’s C and D, totalling 17,394 square feet.  The works include the subdivision of the blocks, with the addition of first floor mezzanine storage in two units in Block C.  All of the units will offer office, kitchen, toilet and storage space.

With the works due for completion in January 2018, Riverside Inverclyde has seen an increase in enquiries for the units, with further tenants expected to be announced in the New Year.

Ri Chief Executive, Fiona Maguire said:

“Ri’s investment into providing high quality business premises continues to be our main strategy to drive economic growth for Inverclyde.  This further significant investment into Kelburn Business Park has been developed with the specific aim to support further job creation.”

Mark Shields, Director at Stewart and Shields said:

“Stewart and Shields are delighted to have been awarded this contract and it has been a fantastic experience working with Riverside Inverclyde on this project.  We look forward to completing the works in line with the schedule and continue to deliver further projects across Scotland.”

Ri’s Head of Business Investment, Andrew Bowman said:

“With the second stage of the fit out works nearing completion, Kelburn Business Park offers an attractive option for businesses looking to expand and subsequently we have seen a rise in interest in the site.  With competitive prices and incentives available for businesses, superb road and train connectivity and the close proximity to Glasgow Airport, Kelburn Business Park offers some of the most attractive units on the market.”

Ri has also witnessed an increased interest in Block A over the last 3 months.  The largest available unit at 15,564 square feet within Kelburn Business Park, it offers potential tenants the opportunity to custom design to suit their business needs.
