Cloch Caravan Park Opens New £1m Leisure and Spa Facility

The Gourock Caravan Park has invested nearly £1million on the facility, which includes a pool and gym with panoramic Clyde views plus a spa. There are also treatment rooms, run by Infinity, offering massage and beauty therapies.

Plain Sailing As Inverclyde Marina Event Is Chosen To Help Shine Spotlight On Scotland's Coasts and Waters

Kip Marina in Inverkip has won high-profile backing to feature a spectacular River of Light event at Scotland's Boat Show next year. River of Light is one of six initial events announced as part of Scotland's Year of Coasts and Waters 2020.

Glen Sannox Delivery Date 'Cannot Be Met' Says Minister

Further delays to two new £100 million CalMac ferries being built at Ferguson's have been officially confirmed in the Scottish Parliament. Minister Paul Wheelhouse believes the current revised delivery date of June this year for the first of the vessels - Glen Sannox - now 'cannot be met'.

Another Record Greenock Cruise Call Season is Under Way

Ocean Terminal boss Hugh Hardie and his team welcomed the first major visitor yesterday, the 16,000-tonne Astoria. The Greenock cruise call season is set for another record year with 75 stop-offs and some 140,000 passengers expected in total.

Webhelp Help To Make Easter Special For Children In Inverclyde

For the second year in a row staff at Webhelp in Greenock have backed Children in Poverty Inverclyde’s appeal for chocolate eggs. Staff donated money to dress down and the proceeds were used to purchase 60 eggs.

Date Confirmed For Gourock Pool Opening

Inverclyde Leisure have announced that Gourock Outdoor Pool will open on Friday (3 May) for its 2019 season. The 'big jump-in' will be at 4pm that day with opening hours to be confirmed.

New Owners For Kilmacolm's Former Pullman Tavern

The former Pullman Tavern has been bought over by local resident Graeme Finnie and his wife Karen, along with local operator Jason Andrews, who runs The River Inn in Crosslee and The Fox and Hounds in Houston.

Gourock Actress Launches High Protein Brownies Business

Roslyn Paterson, 31, who is also a personal trainer, has spent years perfecting her recipe and has now set up her home bakery, Whey'd & Measured. The caramelised sweet-potato high protein brownies – which weigh in at only 151 calories each – have proved an unexpected smash hit.

Cornbread, made with mature cheese, green Jalapenos, honey, and thyme is such a scene-stealer, although it’s technically a side order. It’s just so easy to like that gritty, crusty, cornmeal texture with its sweetly fragrant chilli hit.

Plans for a new burger bar in Gourock look to be off the menu. Nearly two years ago, BRGR - a chain with restaurants in Glasgow, Giffnock and Edinburgh - were looking at opening a branch in an empty listed building in between John Street and Shore Street.

UK Award Is On The Menu For Hospital Catering Staff

The team behind the meals served at Inverclyde Royal Hospital have been declared the best in Britain at a catering awards ceremony. NHS Greater Glasgow and Clyde (NHSGGC) was declared Catering Service of the Year at the Hospital Caterers Association awards in Newport.
